Over the past month, I’ve been working remotely with an IT lead based in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands, supporting a major corporate hotel chain in Spain.

Here’s what we’ve achieved so far:

Deployed LibreNMS for complete network monitoring and visibility

Implemented Oxidized for automated switch, router, and firewall backups

Successfully migrated from PRTG, bringing in full device config monitoring and alerts

Now rolling out GLPI to streamline IT asset management and helpdesk operations

This setup brings enterprise-grade insight and resilience to their infrastructure – all coordinated remotely from my UK base.

It’s a great example of how distance doesn’t limit delivery when expertise and communication come together.
